Slowly but surely, I’m beginning to understand the city of Toronto a little more as each day passes.
After my first month living uptown in a beautiful brown stone building in an area most refer to as “Young and Eligible” … I failed to see both and soon put my peace sign up and packed my bags. I have gravitated towards an area that I hold near and dear to my heart, Queen St. W. My days in the past of frequenting the Drake Hotel are soon to be rekindled now that I’m just steps away. Sitting here in an authentic conversion loft staring at the hard wood floors, cement walls and ceiling, looking out the window at the brick buildings and boutiques, I finally feel like I may be getting comfortable. There’s nothing like a little inspiration after a hard days work, than a neighborhood filled with fashionista’s and hipsters who all seem to be chasing the unconventional dream.
