Fresh Olympic Fashion

Hi Sugars! I apologize for the lack of love lately. I promise to come back in full Maple Syrup force.

If you're in Vancouver for the 2010 Olympics and have tried to get into the Official Olympic Shop at The Bay downtown, like many other visitors...you're out of luck. That is unless you want to spend a beautiful Vancouver day standing in line for hours.

I wanted to share with you some other places to get yourself Olympic fashion fitted.

1 - Aritzia: Fashion forward Aritzia has created a few lines that yell Olympics. Spotted: Vera Wang with some Aritzia Olympics Gear.

2 - Lululemon: For the athletic fashion friendly gal or guy.

10th Day of Christmas

Dear Santa. There are 10 days until Christmas. I promise I have been a good girl and really want to rock some bling!

Ever since she rocked the airwaves with “Let the bass from the speakers run through ya sneakers, move both ya feet and run to the beat”, I have been smitten over Rihanna, more specifically the accessories she rocks.

Melody Ehsani, LA born Iranian designer has blinged out many TOP names such as Rihanna, Ciara and Keri Hilson.

p.s Santa, I know that ring says "Bad". Replace the "Bad" with "Sonia" and we are set.

TED Talks - Dancing with Mallika Sarabhai to change the world

If you haven't heard of TED which is devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading and bringing people from 3 different worlds together - Technology, Entertainment & Design THEN I urge you to visit their site and be inspired.

TED India's conference which was held at the beginning of the month was filled with so many amazing speakers and performers. Luckily, I could watch all the Talks from the comfort of my home as they are accessible online to the world, for free.

I wanted to share a Talk that was posted this morning featuring powerhouse Mallika Sarabhai. Mallika is a well known activist of arts in India and shares her stories of deep social conscience in the form of dance.

Michelle Obama fitted in Rachel Roy and Naeem Khan

My heart fluttered and skin arose in goosebumps when I saw photographs of India's Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and family being welcomed to the White House by President Barack Obama.

As India and the U.S toasted to a partnership, I couldn't help but notice First Lady Michelle Obama's amazing fashionable outfit's. The First Lady never disappoints when it comes to fashion so I was super excited to find out that she was fitted by not one but two Indian designers during this celebratory occasion.

During the State Dinner Preview Event, First Lady donned a Rachel Roy creation, Marble Pencil.
